Good Weekend Was Had By All

We went into Bristol last night and saw Eduardo Niebla at Colston Hall. This was an amazing concert, beginning with flamenco inflected pieces moving through gypsy jazz and ending with astonishing improvisations. If you get a chance to see him, don't miss it! Colston Hall has these interesting displays on the foyer wall - I've had some of these badges.
Scaled up across a whole wall, the effect is impressive.
After the concert, we went up to Krisha's Inn, a Keralan restaurant and had a late supper of masala dhosa and kulfi. Bath is a nice place to live, but Bristol has lots more to offer in some areas! Today has been a beautiful day - bright blue skies and our "lollipop" silver birch standing out in the sunshine.
We set off to Nailsea via Chew Valley Lake to give Bella a bit of a walk.
The lake was still and calm, and the trees looked good.
The water level is still very high.
We went to Richard and Barbara's for a delicious lunch. Here is Richard in contemplative mood with a fork.
Managed to drag our full tummies out for a walk with Bella and Dylan (Caroline's dog) into a still bright afternoon.
This day a year ago, I was down at my favourite shop in Bath - the Apple store.
