Doing Different Things on Symi

The skies over Pedi last night glowed as the sun set behind us.
Another bright start to the day, which has been a hot one again.
Su's new bag and a patch of sunlight on our apartment floor.
Su went down to Pedi Bay for a spot of serious sunbathing today. I did a spot of shopping, in between photographing the windmills over the top of our apartment block.
Lovely mallow flowers in bloom - the island is still green but will start to dry out from now onwards.
Walked up to the American supermarket via Zoe's Taverna where we had dinner last night.
The local church tower has been re-rendered, and is waiting to be painted
Love the light bulb and fitting obscuring the saint's image over the door.
Met up with Terri and we made our way up to George's to play some music as a power trio - Terri on bass, me on acoustic guitar and George on his acoustic through all his effects pedals. Far out!
George treated us to a very tasty home made chicken soup and fresh bread from "Filthy Fred's" (not sure why it is known as that…). We ate looking out over the Pedi valley. A good time was had by all, and hope to repeat it again before we finish our visit on Symi. Got back to the apartment just after Su, who had had a lovely day down at the beach with lots of company.
This day a year ago, we formed a quiz team with Hilary for the quiz night at the Olive Tree (former premises) in aid of the medical centre - came an honourable second. Then it was on to the  Sunrise Cafe to play music with Clare and George - a busy social whirl.
