Hotting Up On The Rock of Symi

Went down to Yialos last night. Lovely light.
The sun was just disappearing over the hill.
Last glow over Yialos.
We were at Mythos for a meal with Richard, Barbara et al. Great setting.
The meal celebrated Richard and Barbara's anniversary (which was on Wednesday). Su and I conspired with Ola in Norway to present Barbara with a single red rose, in what has become a bit of a tradition.  The restaurant sprang this surprise on them.
Walking out afterwards, appreciated the lights from the other side of the harbour and the tall-masted ship that had come in while we ate.
Wended our way slowly up the hill. Paused to wonder at this shop display opposite the Horio hotel before going along to the Sunrise Cafe to join in the wonder of Eurovision …
This morning started cloudy but warm.
We decided that a day by the water was the best way of dealing with temperatures approaching 35ºC, so we ambled down to Pedi. These thistles are coming on nicely…
Great cloud formations.
This digger hasn't moved in over a year, but that doesn't mean it won't…
Pedi Bay was calm and a lot cooler than the walk down the hill.
Another tanker was in - this one was unloading sand into lorries to take up to the builder's yard.
Our view for most of the day consisted of something along these lines.
This day a year ago, we were getting into the Symi routine and frequenting old haunts.
