Shrove Power Cut

Out with Bella this morning, saw this evidence of snowfall in the night.
Spotted this car window with an unusual system to keep the window up (note the wedges at the sides, ignore the reflection of the photographer!)
Came home to find that Su had rustled up pancakes for Shrove Tuesday breakfast. They were delicious, so much so that half of them were eaten before I thought to photograph the rest before they disappeared too.
Then it was off to UWE to teach a total of 7 students in three tutorials over course of the day.  Took refuge for lunch in one of my many places to hole up - in the corner of Paul, Rob, Prakash, Delia, Glynn and Chris's office.
Finihsed my last tutorial early, which was convenient because the University had cancelled classes from 4 pm because of work on the mains power supply as a result of the cable to the University being cut through yesterday. The corridors were uncharacteristically empty and quiet for 3.15 in the afternoon.
This day last year, I was down Charlcombe Lane expecting that it would soon be closed off for the anuual amphibiam migration down the hillside.  The road has already been closed off for this year, but I haven't spotted any toads or frogs yet this year.
