Merry Christmas!

Up and out with Bella for an early walk to see some blue skies for Christmas morning, and then back into bed for coffee and opening Christmas presents!
Took Bella out for another walk later on and discovered these walks up the lane just opposite our cottage.
Found this collection of flowers in memory of Cyril and Doris Payne, according to the plaque on the bench nearby.
The sun tried to come out again, but the skies were much more overcast by now.
These great silos dominated a group of farm buildings which looked largely deserted.
A great opportunity for a mobile phone mast though. I saw no further signage to obey ...
Interesting place to have letter boxes - on the side of a barn.
On the way back to our cottage saw these horses having a rest - the only livestock I saw on the farm apart from two friendly dogs.
The route back took me over the main Alcester to Stratford Road - cameras monitoring traffic in both directions from the footbridge.
The van parked up outside our cottage - not the thatched one, but the one next to it.
Then it was off up to Birmingham to Ben and Lena's to eat a big Christmas lunch followed by a game of "Imaginiff" (a new one on us). Su and Lena chilled out on the sofa.
Ben making cups of tea and coffee to go with cheesecake.
The tree presided over the celebrations. We are now back in Alcester with full tummies waiting for Downton Abbey (Su to watch, me to snooze in front of, no doubt).
This day last year, we were at Richard and Barbara's with Richard in his full chef's whites for the occasion.
