Spraying The Van and Spraying the Streets

Up early again this morning - noticed our little rose in the front garden making its debut appearance for the year.
Out with Bella spotted yet more lilac against the clear blue sky - we are set for days of this weather! Getting acclimatised a little for Symi in 12 days time!!!
Drove over to Bristol in the van with Bella to Dan Buzzo's to spend the day spraying up the van. He has a VW as well, adorned with this message.
He also has these rather extravagant tyre valve caps…
Work on the van proceeded - this consisted of Sanding 101 for me for most of the day. This was one panel rubbed down and ready for masking off and spraying. At last the rust spots have gone!
After about 4 hours of this Bella was bored sitting on a patch of grass having the occasional ball thrown for her, and my back needed a stretch so we set off for a stroll around the bottom end of the People's Republic of Stokes Croft. At the bottom of Dan's Road is the Lakota - adorned with lots of street art…
…and more along that wall…
… and still more.
Round the corner, there was more.
Coming up to the A38, we continued our tour of street art with this house…
… this switching box…
… these shops…
…this shop…
On Jamaica Street we found a possible source of some of these artworks.
More examples outside…
… how to decorate shutters.
On the end of this terrace an eye-catching wall.
Down the street, another decorated gable end.
We went into the little park on King's Square and Bella sniffed around before we headed back down to the A38 to make our way back to more sanding down of paintwork. Of course, there was more street art to catch the eye.
… and more…
On the A38 saw Pieminister Head Quarters across the road. Managed to resist:-)
Coming back round to the van, the legend on this church caught my eye "Strive to enter in at the strait gate." Maybe that's what the cyclist was doing…
By the end of the afternoon - job done (and I did some spraying as well as sanding!)
This day a year ago, we were enjoying really clear views of Turkey from our apartment on Symi. Looking forward to seeing it live again soon!
