Unexpected Sunset and A Trip to the Pictures

Last night's supper by Su - watercress and walnut pesto pasta. Very tasty indeed.
Today was mainly grey and rainy, with some really heavy rain for a while.
Out with Bella, spotted the first Christmas lighting on our street.
We went off to town, just as the skies started to clear a bit.
This was an unexpected bonus.
We went up to the Park and Ride, catching the last of the unexpected glow.
The display on the bus was saying something, but not in a language I could recognise…
Walking through town, Su & I debated whether this looked like cheesecake or creme caramel- it was in fact a slab of soap.
The Christmas lights in full display mode.
On our way to the Little Theatre Su spotted this urn and shadow.
We went to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - a most enjoyable and action-packed romp through the second part of the Hobbit trilogy.
On the way back up to catch the bus back, we were entranced by this surreal Christmas shop window display
This day a year ago, I was really taken with the sunset behind St Stephens church.
