Sunshine, Abandoned Bicycle Seat Cover and Lost Shoes

Another early start to the day (but it was an early night, so that wasn't too bad!) - this was the view from the back of the house.
From the front of the house, where the sun will rise until the Spring, the view was quite majestic.
Out with Bella in full daylight, I admired our neighbour's geraniums.
Popped over to Prior Park Garden Centre, where I was greatly taken by this tree outside their front door.
A quick trip around Morrisons (deep joy), provisioning of the van and then we took off to Sand Bay. The first thing I noticed when we arrived (apart from the absence of forecast sunshine) was this abandoned lipstick (Frosted PInk).
An example of design to stop people using an object?
It is a great expanse of sea and sky, looking across to Wales.
Another abandoned item - a bicycle seat cover. Just what you'd expect to find on a beach.
Sand Bay is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, because of the bird population - we guessed that they hang out in these grasses some of the time. Heard several curlews during our walk up and down the beach.
The skies gradually cleared, and the sun came out to make it a lovely setting. Bella was happy - she found two balls and had lots of little pools to splash through.
Another abandoned item - a baby shoe.
Then we came across yet another item of abandoned footwear.
This day a year ago, we went down into town to see a film and were struck by this Christmas display of stuffed chickens.
When We Were Young(er) on Xante in 1989, Su struck a pose on one of our stops driving around the island.
