Up in time for the sunrise again this morning - another bright, clear start to the day at the front of the house.
The back of the house had a lovely glow as well.
Out with Bella this morning, I spotted my first ever black gazebo/marquee. The sound of machinery coming from that direction led me to surmise that these neighbours are having some outside work done and this is a serious builder's structure - rather than a satanists's delight!
I was taken with the way that the sunlight caught these chimney pots on the terrace.
Lovely colour to this tree.
A sprouting moss - lots of these to see in the next couple of months. Had an inside-based day so no more photographs till tomorrow.
This day a year ago, spotted this old cash till on the front seat of a van down the hill.
When We Were Young(er) in 1972 on Ios, I helped Texan Charlie turn this pump on the well (no handy donkeys about) so his friend could rinse out some clothes. That's me in the red T-shirt…

I think you are absolutely wrong about black marquees. Please have a look at or blog where we have published a birthday party photo with a black marquee
