Rainwashed Flowers, Dim Sum and Billfest

After a night's heavy rain, courtesy of the remains of Hurricane Bertha, flowers were freshly rinsed.
This bindweed flower was almost translucent.
Mallow flowers looking perky.
Over the top for this snail.
We went of to Bristol this afternoon, passing this sign which was put up after the Kelston Road fell away in a landslip after the heavy rain earlier this year.  Events have moved on, because a local farmer has built a temporary diversion past the affected part of the road and is charging £2 a car to use it.
Our first stop was Dynasty for dim sum - delicious as ever.
Then it was off to Totterdown, passing this excellent mural.
We popped into Billfest, a celebration of Bill Braddick's birthday and retirement.
This day a year ago, I spotted this cluster of native ladybirds.
