If You Go Down to the Woods…

Out with Bella this morning with a definitely Autumnal feel to the air, spotted these ripening apples.
Umbellifers that have ended their season wait for autumn.
After our activity of the last few days, we had a relaxing morning before heading off to Hallatrow to pick up some floor tile adhesive we were given via Freegle. On the way, we had to stop for this very fast police car with flashing blue lights.
After that we went for a walk in Greyfield Woods, close to where we used to live.
Came across this cat hanging out at the bottom of the woods.
I don't think this bike was abandoned, but no sign of its owner…
Went down to the waterfall with  Bella, who happily dived after the tennis ball she'd managed to find on the way.
Walking back through the woods, we spotted this makeshift shelter.
Lovely stand of trees in the sunshine that had come out by then.
Back home, the bees were still happily sipping the nectar from our veronica.
This day last year, after a day of rain the weather changed for the better at sunset.
