A Trellis By TeaTime

Out with Bella this morning, spotted this flower on the ground - no others like it to be seen nearby, so it's a mystery how it got there.
This sunflower has come out.
Nice double ring of flowers on this teazle.
Went past these colourful kite-like additions to a neighbour's gate.
Spent a lot of the day in the front garden, where the bees continued happily sipping nectar from our nepeta and verbena bonariensis flowers.
We started the day just a low wall with our next door neighbours front garden and by teatime we had a trellis!
This day a year ago, we were still down in Devon - this was the humans-only beach at Wembury.
Su's news story of the day (Independent website - click on the title for the full story):

The amazing moustache that brings admiration - plus death threats, repeated moves, an end to his business... and hopefully a new beginning
