A morning marking. After lunch we went round to see Stephen and Linda (who hasn't been very well) - their cat posed on the rug for its portrait to be taken.
Their house overlooks St Saviours church in Larkhall.
On the way home noticed the first forget-me-nots of the year sprouting from the base of our neighbour's gatepost .
Took Bella out for her afternoon walk to survey the new growth popping out everywhere. These newly unfurled leaves are so fresh in colour!.
Flowers popping out everywhere you look.
The things some people choose to put on their front doors! I guess this is left over from Easter?
A bank of daffodils being inspected by Bella.
This hedge is halfway to being green again. Birdsong all around - it must be Spring at last!
Today's abandoned item was this beanie hat on a window ledge.
This forsythia has bloomed since the last time I was here a few days ago.
A garland of paper flowers adorns this car's rear view mirror.
Remnants of last year's hydrangea flowers have a delicate beauty all of their own.
Rampaging elephant on the top of this gatepost - the growth on its neck is a snail.
I've just looked out of the window in time to catch this glorious sunset sky - hope it bodes well for tomorrow's weather.
This day a year ago, I was back in Hong Kong after a long journey via Amsterdam. The weather was a hot 30ÂșC and cloudy, but - again - I was hoping that this sunset was a sign of better weather for the next day.
