Sneeze, Cough, Wheeze

Went to see "The American Plan" at the Ustoniv Theatre last night, courtesy of our stage-manager friend Janie, who we met up with for a drink afterwards. It was a really good play, with a good plot turn in the second act that made you think again about the first act. Excellent stage management, of course:-).  Janie is back again in May/June with the third play in the series, so we'll get to see that when we are back from Greece. Went to bed with a bit of a sore throat and woke up with a cold.  Brilliant sunshine helped to keep it at bay for the morning - trust it will be gone by tomorrow.
The sun was just creeping round to the front of the house while Bella had her breakfast.
The view from the front room.
Out with Bella, enjoyed the sun shining through this ragged robin.
Flowers tumbling down a neighbour's front garden.
Bella inspected this gaggle of traffic cones.
After a leisurely breakfast and read of the paper, it was time to take Bella for her kennel cough injection down on Julian Road. Most unusually, the vet had run out of the vaccine, so she will have to go back another day. The vet checked her over and said her weight is good, her heart is strong and she has perfect teeth. Having titled this blog "After Bella" in 2010, it seems that we will have quite a wait until that day - not that we are wishing her demise, as she is such a lovely dog.
While waiting in the car, I was taken by this reflection in the side mirror of the car.
After that, we went up to Whiteways garden centre where Bella took us in for a cup of coffee overlooking the views of Somerset to the south of Bath.
Buds coming on the trees they have for sale there.
Another of their taste-free displays of possible ornaments for the garden.
As if you need to be told not to smoke near liquid gas cylinders - I guess some people do…
Julian Road grocers was our last stop on the way home.
The haul from Su's foray into the shop - fresh and tasty! After we got home, she installed me in the sunshine on the bench at the front of the house, where I read my book until both Bella and I dozed off:-). Another spell inside lead to the same result, so not much of my book got read. Su's TLC should see me better by tomorrow.
This day a year ago, on an evening walk with Bella we noticed this rather exposed bathing opportunity.
