A slow start to the day, followed by a trip to Morrisons for the joy of shopping experience. Su was out for the day, so I made a picnic and went off with Bella to Bristol Volksfest. Vans of every age and style were in evidence.
Some fancy paint jobs to be seen.
The festival site was at Washingpool Farm in Easter Compton. Hope this sign didn't apply to festival goers!
Bella was quite interested in these empty animal pens.
Onto the site proper - funfair attractions and food stalls plus music playing!
There were VWs of all sizes - this one for little people.
A range of highly customised and polished vans were on display.
Not just vans, but Beetles, Polos and other VWs were to on display.
The paint job on this one was very striking.
"All You Need is Dub" - VeeDub &/or Reggae Dub?
To call some of the people here enthusiasts would be too mild:-)
The things that people put on their vehicles sometimes totally bamboozle me.
An different example of customisation to some of the vehicles on show.
Now there's an idea how to get more space for sleeping:-)
This day a year ago, the rain stopped and the sun came out. Bella and I went off up to Brockham End and beyond for the first time since our return from Greece.
