Lazy Saturday

After our circumnavigation of the island on Saturday, we pootled about Rhodes town yesterday. Went and had a look at the few intrepid (it was pretty windy) sunbathers on the town beach.

Spent a lot of the day reading and hanging out, although we managed another walk through a bit of the old town for another very tasty and very cheap lunch at the taverna we found a few days ago.

Sat by the pool listening to the chatter of US teens on a school trip and caught up with news of the royal wedding (which people have been going on about :-)!) and Stoke Croft riots.

Had an evening promenade then sat in the bar and watched Greek football cup final - the black and yellow team beat the white team 3-1. Heard the supporters celebrating later on and woke to the sound of church bells and a marching band.

Today is our last day on Rhodes, so we'll pack our bags and drive off for the day before catching our flight tonight. Back in Bath tomorrow - seems weird to think of it.
