Spent quite a bit of time yesterday talking to people about Mac issues. In between and when walking Bella, I spotted lots of flowers including this emerging black tulip.

What a pleasure it is to walk through the park since the Council introduced parking charges during the day - it used to be chock-a-block with cars and dangerous to cross the roads.

This snowy mespil is starting to come out - just like ours in the back garden is.

Today, we treated ourselves to breakfast at the Hare and Hounds on Lansdown and went to Westonbirt this afternoon. They have a new set of benches installed.
Their chestnuts are also coming out.

Back at home, amongst other new growth in the back garden I admired our newly emergent tulips.
It looks like we are going to have lilac blossom again this year!
This day a year ago, I was down in Larkhall with Bella on the green by Lambrook at the back of the shops.
A hazy start to the day as I went out with Bella before an early appointment at the dentist.
After that, I met up with Su at Prior Park for a coffee before going to look at their latest display of flowers.
These giant fritillaria caught our eyes.
There is a lot of red in the flower pallette at the momenet, which my iPhone camera finds difficult to capture well. These are our very orange ranunculus, but with the saturation reduced to better show the structure of the flowers.
The lilies from Mother's Day have properly opened out now and are spreading their heady aroma far and wide

Out with Bella this morning, I admired these ostiospermum flowers in a neighbour's front garden.
Cloudy - to the point of breaking out into showers as we went out of the door. Luckily, we finished our walk before it rained with a bit more determination.
This ragged robin is a nice show every Spring - and as an accompaniment, the birds were singing their hearts out on Fairfield Park Road this morning
Willow catkins - really quite difficult to get a sharp picture of as the slightest breeze makes them move.

Out with Bella this morning into a bright day, our ranunculus was like a beacon.

Spent the best part of the lovely afternoon at UWE talking to mildly panicking students who have to hand in their dissertation next week. Passing classroom doors, I noticed they all had QR codes on saying "live timetable" - so I tried it out on room 3Q68, and it worked!
