Summer Finally Arrives in the UK

After a most enjoyable last night with Bill and Patsi, woke up to see clearing skies. By the time I went out with Bella, there wasn't a cloud to be seen. At last!
A trio of bindweed flowers - they will, of course, thrive even more in the sun!
A neighbour's sunflower looks much more appropriate in the bright light.
Sharon roses fully open.
Our geraniums under the shade of one of our birch trees.
A junior snail in training…
After clearing the front garden of cat toilet opportunities yesterday, we haver been clearing part of the back garden today. What was a mass of vegetation in one of our sunnier spots is now an opportunity for leisure. Blue plastic is not a permanent feature, but a deterrent to the aforementioned cats while we move on to the next stage of the redesign
We went out for a walk with Bella above Primrose Woods. This track up to the farm has a mown lawn up the middle of it.
The skies were still a treat.
An interpretive board about the woods, which are moving closer to being owned rather than rented, according to the July newsletter on the gate.
Insects on this umbellifer - one pair involved in making preparations for the next batch…
Rose hips swelling up nicely.
The prolific buddleias in the woods have come into flower.
This day a year ago, I was once again involved in preparing to decorate - not emulating Christo with a wrapped installation.
