A Record Month Again!

June was a record month for rainfall, being the wettest since the Great Flood records began. More importantly for this blog, June saw our page views rise by 12.2% to our highest ever monthly total for the sixth consecutive month! Many thanks to all our readers - please let us know what you like/dislike and anything else you might like to read about and/or see photographed in future posts.
A new month today, and hopes of less rain were not borne out by the downpours in the night and this morning. The weather fuels our dreams of escaping to find some sun, which may happen soon! Thankfully by this afternoon, the rain had gone and the sun came out to give us a lovely Summer's Day, which showed our daises off well.
The bacopa perked up in the sunshine.
After nattering for ages to our former neighbours who have moved just around the corner, we finally took ourselves and Bella out for a sunny walk. These are the first marigolds (aka calendula) I've noticed this Summer.
The valerian is still happily flowering away, and is quite prolific in places, as with this stand.
Today's number is…
A red and black moth (beetle?) and some red clover.
The view across to Bathford across the fields - a lot brighter than yesterday.
Tat's original skull graffiti did not survive long, as the newly scrubbed electricity sub-station shows. Looks like a tempting newly prepared blank canvas to me, so I will keep an eye out to see what appears there next…
I have no idea what this Spider Creepy Crawler is used for…
Interesting cloud formation as we walked back towards home.
This day a year ago, we finished our Tuscan trip and returned to the UK. Su was finally able to post some photographs from the last few days of our trip. These are from Volterra - the old Roman amphitheatre, and medieval streets
