Waking up on Symi

Felt revived after a siesta yesterday afternoon and went off to meet Justine at Manteio's. On the way, saw this long-suffering donkey, hobbled so that it couldn't get in the shade.
Grapes swelling up on the vine - soon be ready.
The view from Manteios's over the Car Park down to Pedi Bay.
We bought some supplies and (as per Justine's directions) successfully found our way back through the winding lanes via the Museum to Sevasti Studios. We haven't done that in the dark yet… Sat on our terrace and enjoyed the last of the sunlight, looking over to Nimos.
The left hand side of Pedi Bay catching the last of the sun.
The right hand side of the bay glowing in the sunset.
This isn't a strange bird, but one of the very common Greek chimney cowls - they turn around in the wind.
Having thought we might have an early night, we ended up walking down to the Sunrise for a couple of drinks. Walked back on the road and enjoyed seeing lots of stars. This morning we have been entertaining  - George popped over for a coffee. I'll be seeing him later as we are playing at the Sunrise tonight (I have even brought new strings over for Derek's guitar!). The weather is again hotting up, so we may be sensible and leave venturing out till a little later.
This day a year ago, I finished decorating the front room downstairs while Su investigated travel plans for our Turkish trip. She celebrated later by having second ever Knickerbocker Glory!
