Baking Afternoon at Pedi

Our studio is near the bend in the road where the bus turns, so we caught the bus down to Pedi bay yesterday afternoon. Walking down would have been really hot!
Eucalyptus leaves photographed while waiting for the bus.
We had a leisurely lunch in Tolis Taverna on the left hand side of the bay. Nice new roof and newly painted floor (we saw them getting it ready when we were here in May before they opened).
The field at the back of the bay, which has been on the market for so long that the "For Sale" sign is fading away.
What you might expect by the sea!
We went into the Pedi Beach Hotel for a drink and a spell under their air conditioning. Met an American couple who live on their boat, and have spent the last five years in Turkey - they are now making their way across to Spain. Said they were sailing to Kos first light this morning. After cooling off, we had a swim and enjoyed the late afternoon sun.
The light from the hillside was reflected in the water - very peaceful. Caught the bus back up to the Chorio (this part of its route does not come as close to our studio, so we had a slow walk up the hill to our room).  Supper and beer were soon followed by dozing off.  This morning we are awake early - Su was up with the sunrise taking photographs. We'll soon be catching the bus down into Yialos (the first time this trip) for our "Simi Sizzler" boat trip.
This day a year ago, Su had been off to see the organic garden at the home of the owners of Yeo Valley yoghurt - including this striking statue.
