After our last night on the Gulet moored up in Marmaris, and a farewell dinner featuring **two** birthday cakes for Allen, we stayed up drinking later than we should have for our early departure this morning. The early start was enhanced by the sound of rain on the boat's awning from 6 am or so. Set foot on dry land about 7.30 and caught a taxi to the ferry, which finally set off at 9.30 am.
Got into Rhodes with no problems about 10.30, and were installed in the Plaza Hotel by about 11.15. Decent coffee again (we managed one last night too, so are feeling somewhat restored!) and some late breakfast followed by a spot of surfing about the strikes before we have repaired to our room for a siesta.
The rain should have stopped by the time we emerge, and all the indications are that we will be able to get to Symi tomorrow morning! Things seem to be working out :-)
