Back in port

After another couple of days' cruising around the Aegean coast of Turkey - and swimming and sunbathing, we have sailed back into Marmaris to find it pretty quiet. This is because the major power cable into town has been cut by contractors building a new road! This means it is quiet and no coffee machines or WiFi until 5 pm... When the music will no doubt ring out, and the restaurants redouble their efforts.

Tomorrow we hope to get to Rhodes. We have checked out this end and the ferry will leave Marmaris at 9 am. Let's hope that the threatened Greek ferry strike doesn't affect our disembarkation!

After that, all we have to worry about is getting to Symi on Tuesday morning, which may be affected by the ferry strike) and the Greek General Strike on Wednesday and Thursday. If we **do** get to Symi, then all we have to worry about is getting to Kos on Friday - and from there to Athens on Saturday....

Watch this space - hopefully next post from Rhodes!
