All Day At Westonbirt

We spent the whole day at Westonbirt - got there before 10 am (and the rest of  the world who queued for hours to get in later in the day).  Luckily, Westonbirt can absorb loads of people, so we managed to get the van parked under a spreading oak tree, so Bella (and we) had shade all day

And a beautiful vista to contemplate while reading the paper with a cup of coffee

 We'd arranged to meet up with Ben and Lena for a picnic, and we duly ate loads of food

 Ben, absorbed in making up his plate...

All in all, a most enjoyable day - not even marred by the van getting a flat battery, as the rescue service arrived within half an hour!


Tomorrow, we plan to spend time at the allotment before getting sorted for our journey to Turkey on Monday...
