Went for a walk around Symi's port of Yialos yesterday to re-familiarise ourselves and see what changes since Easter. Right up past the petrol station (with prices to make even Brits gasp - But then Symi has only one main road about 10 km long), we saw a well-used car wash. One way to clean gas cylinders...
After a long Internet session back at the hotel, went out for a lovely meal at the Trata - went inside as it was still cold. Then came back for medicinal vodka & tonics.
No need to get up at 6 am today - bliss! Looked out of our window to see big cruise liner anchored in the bay, with passengers being ferried ashore. This will please the shops and cafes, who have been hard hit by the absence of day trip boats for a while now (invalid permit saga, apparently - more on Symi Dream archive, I think).
We have had a leisurely breakfast, and will shortly wend our way up the KaliStrata to see people up in the Horio. Hard life - and we have another 3 days here!
Other pics show a shop that's going nowhere, our balcony and views from room at sunrise last night, and this morning.
