Blue Skies this morning! This is our hop plant reaching for the sky!
We walked down into town after breakfast - not sure why this area was coned off. This was our view from Claremont Terrace.
Gnomic markings on Walcot Street.I love this sign on the gate to the garden of the Bell on Walcot Street.
A cage full of cages!
We went to the Little Theatre to see "A Royal Affair", a Danish film about 18th Century goings on at Court. Interesting to find out about a pivotal point of Danish history in a beautifully filmed and very well acted film - it engaged me far more than I thought it might. Highly recommended.
This afternoon we went up to Westonbirt to take advantage of the lovely afternoon. I found myself on the Native Tree Time Trail, which has interpretive boards of UK tree history from the last Ice Age to the present day.
The trail led me to this magnificent structure I have featured on the blog before.
More bee orchids everywhere - this was a particularly splendid specimen.
On the edge of the arboretum, a footpath led into a field of barley edged with poppies.
Great needles on this tree (pseudolarix amabilis).
Wonderful new growth on this Koster's Blue Spruce.
When we came home, this lone red balloon flew over.
This day a year ago, the sun was also shining after some less favourable weather. We spent it outside, and Bella enjoyed playing with her ball.
