After all last night's downpour (but nothing as much as fell on Hebden Bridge, where we used to live), a bit of drizzle this morning and brooding skies.
Looking around our garden at the flowers, these astrantias are at their peak.
As are these different coloured ones.
These roses are looking good at the moment as well.
This acer seems to be very happy, unlike our other one.
The world as seen through our glass sphere.
More astrantias showing off.
The skies eventually brightened, and it even warmed up a bit. I saw this friendly small collie, Spike, on my walk.
This is his younger companion, Ash (so named because of his greyer colouring). He too is very soft and friendly.
Entrepreneurial spirit up on Charlcombe Lane - there are now two houses setting eggs out for sale up there.
We walked round to Charlcombe church again, passing this fast running stream fed by last night's rain. Bella stopped for a drink, getting a wet head in the process.
This lichen covered bit of tree bark is a casualty of last night's weather.
The sunlight brought out the textures and colours of the corner of this wall.
The bindweed has been flourishing with all the rain - lots of flowers out and ready to set seed.
The skies looking towards Bathampton from the top of Charlcombe field - great to see some blue skies and sunshine
This day a year ago, we had arrived in Florence via Pisa airport. We were in a pretty centrally located hotel, which has a slightly old-fashioned air. Su had put out her back when swinging a case into the car boot that morning., and there was an issue posting photos on the blog (hence no image today). Culture beckoned us!
Keen readers will have noticed that we did not get to Widcombe Art Trail today. We were up very late last night, so were slow off the mark today and enjoyed a proper Sunday. Tomorrow promises more activity, of which more - tomorrow!
