Meandering About

Bank Holiday Monday and it hasn't rained all day! We were down in Larkhall this morning and saw a great example of entente cordiale
We went back out to Carlingcott again today for a wander around, and to take Bella for a spin somewhere different to our usual haunts.  It is a pretty hamlet, with some quirky features…
Also a cousin to our camper van!
Beautiful views over rolling countryside in all directions. The sun came out and we had a lovely walk.
On a small triangle of green, some non-Union Jack bunting…
…as well as another telephone box library with noticeboard (and a no-smoking notice). We first saw this use for redundant telephone boxes a few months ago in nearby Timsbury.
On the way back to Bath, we passed over a bridge with this excellent old sign - at ankle height! "This bridge is insufficient to carry weights beyond the ordinary traffic and owners of locomotives or other vehicles carrying great weights will be held responsible for any damages that may occur therefrom. By order of ?? Bath Rural District Council"
Picked up some more stones and finished our reworking of the back of the house. Where once we had decking and a bit of a mess, we now have a yard with plant nursery and (once again stationary) wood store. It's only taken us nearly seven years to get to this:-)! Had my first migraine in three weeks (no obvious trigger), so a short blog post today.
This day a year ago, Su went out with Bella and left me to finish off the last of my marking. She saw this statue in a garden centre, which made her think of me in marking mode for some reason:-).
