Catching up with Chums

Another morning without rain - even some shafts of sunshine, which showed off this honeysuckle nicely.
An unusual way to decorate a gatepost…
The skies brightened up more by mid-morning
Our garden looking abundant.
We had a couple of friends around for lunch - Martyn here looking the worse for wear (which he wasn't at all - just the timing of the camera),
and Jane, here looking quite ethereal with the light from the window.
Both are former colleagues from UWE who I taught with on the Moving Image Technology module. We had a very enjoyable time, after which I took Bella out for her afternoon walk. The nettle flowers are starting to come out.
Stretching the point a bit for the personalised number plate here, but I got the idea.
The grasses in the fields are still magnificent.
A stunning aqua legia with the sun behind it.
This day last year, Su persuaded me to help walk a friend's dogs with Bella with the offer of lunch. Later she found this flower (not a scabious apparently) down the bottom of our garden.
