The Ides of April

A day wielding the red pen over students' work. Giving myself and Bella a break, went for a walk down into Larkhall via some streets we don't often go down. Found this anarchist  sticker on a lamp post just down the hill.
More hydrangea skeletons - these ones on a waste tip at the top of some allotments.
The weather today has been a mixture of sunshine and clouds. So far the rain has stayed away, but it's only a matter of time - it has been a lot warmer, though.
The first magnolia flowers I have seen this year.
Acid green euphorbia.
New growth on the ends of these conifer branches.
The Gothic lump that is St Saviours church in Larkhall.
Not only Holy water, but Smartwater in there:-)
An abandoned trainer impaled on these gate spikes. Popped into the garage to say hello to the van - all being well, it should be discharged tomorrow.
This poster is a limited edition print by Clare Del for "Linotype: The Film", provided courtesy of Luke Clancy in Dublin - love the silver ink!
This day a year ago, I was in Hong Kong with a day off before my teaching started. I went to Lantau island to see the Big Buddha, overcoming my fear of heights to get there on the cable car. It was well worth the trip.
