Grey Skies, Colourful Interludes

Took Bella for an early long walk today down to Larkhall to chase up the garage about progress on fixing the van.  The sunshine of recent days has disappeared, although there was still a patch of blue sky to be seen.
Patches of colour abounded on today's walk
Fulsome heather in this front garden.
I was really taken by this lichen on a concrete fence post at St Mark's School.
This door is a close relative of many I have seen on Symi:-). Great colours.
At last, some forsythia in full bloom - a lovely splash of colour on a grey day.
This bark on top of weed suppressant in a front garden was eye-catching too.
On the way back up the hill, looking back at St Saviour's church.
Spotted on the front of this van for a removals service.  I rather hoped that the fourth line from the bottom would spell out "ABBA":-).
The blue skies had completely disappeared by now, with threatening clouds.  The wind was really cold, and we did actually get some snow flurries later on.
A colourful hair band on the pavement.
Drove past Lansdown Crescent later on, and spotted their organic lawnmowers (AKA sheep) hard at work.
In Sainsbury's car park briefly, we parked next to this niftily named business sign.
This day last year, the weather had also turned cloudier and cooler than the warm spell we had been enjoying. Saw this pretty speckled egg, and wondered if it was a casualty of the winds that had blown up overnight.
