Decorating Day

A clear sky this morning, with a slightly less chill wind.
These roses are sprouting their new growth.
Another cold and frosty night for these plants.
Blossom and budding tree against a blue sky - it felt like Spring, especially with the birds singing.
This sign has not been treated with a lot of respect - looks like it was a casualty of a reversing car.
Next door's dripping overflow has given rise to these icicles - now melting as the weather gradually warms up.
Went down to the doctor's for my annual check-up.  Blood pressure and other checks all clear - blood test results will be back in a week or so. On the way , I looked up to spot the TV relay aerial we get our programmes from - unfortunately, we don't get the whole Freeview gamut (unless the weather is really cloudy, when we can get Film4).
Most of my day has been spent in the bathroom - first washing it down with sugar soap, then applying the first coat of this nice shade of blue to the walls.  Su concentrated on our front door, which is now a very jolly red.
The end of the afternoon - a lovely day.
This day a year ago, I was up to see the dawn at the back of the house - it was another warm and sunny day which we spent at Westonbirt.
