We've had our heatwave.....

.......and it's rained, so back to normal here in the UK! Rather than hang around the house feeling gloomy I suggested a visit to the Bristol Wood Project. It's a community initiative which recycles wood and is now making items of domestic and garden furniture.  We were after old scaffolding planks which are ideal for making raised beds in the garden and allotment.

Found what we were looking for and found one of Marcus's ex-students working there too. He says he absolutely loves it as it's so creative. What a lovely start to our jaunt!

Next stop lunch.....

A great place to eat. The wagon on the right is where the food is prepared and the one on the left is an indoor sitting area - like a proper cafe. The sun had just come out so we found a table outside.
Like the grass?

THIS IS WHERE YOU'LL FIND THIS CAFE - JUST OFF THE A4 OUT OF BRISTOL

AND THIS IS WHERE YOU'LL FIND THESE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS THAT WERE LOVINGLY PLANTED OUT BY THE PROPRIETOR TO COMPLEMENT THE ASTROTURF!!
