Shopping and the tip

The sun has gone and the rain's set in. Temperature has halved from last week and my day has been occupied by expeditions to various shops (too boring to talk about) and a trip to the council tip to dispose of some garden rubbish.  We did manage to find a birthday present for daughter-in-law. As she doesn't read this blog it won't spoil the surprise!

But my highlight so far this week is booking two one-way tickets to Istanbul.....more about this to follow when thoughts turn into actions........

Today's pics are a random selection from yesterday's outing to sculpture garden.

My favourite sculptor at the moment is Carol Peace who lives and works in Bristol.

A few years ago we bought one of her much smaller pieces through the Own Art project that allows you to buy art with an interest-free loan. It's a marvellous way of buying something you love maybe for someone you love - ah!!

This is the "twin" of the one Marcus put up on yesterday's blog.....

This is an actual bridge made out of knitted squares!?
