A slow start to today - nowhere to dash off to and nothing urgent to do for UWE = bliss! After lie-in, breakfast and a read of the paper, enjoyed our garden in all its mystery and splendour

 Then it was off to our patch on a neighbour's allotment where we planted out some leeks that have been patiently waiting and I did some weeding and hacking back of nettles/bindweed/grass/chickweed combinations. We decided that our mystery green vegetable is proper spinach - beetroot are doing OK too.

After a late lunch and a bit more reading the paper, went out with Bella to my usual haunt

Came back and read the paper to completion at last before dinner and some TV. What a busy day!
