Last day on Rhodes and home.....

.....not quite. I'm writing this on the train to Bath. Should get there in about half an hour. Taxi up the hill and we've arrived. This time yesterday we were in the mountains gazing out to sea on both sides of Kratini castle which delighted and surprised us with its flowers.

That was after we had two lunches! The first was after swift visit to Valley of the Butterflies.... pork steak, best chips ever and salad.

The second was an irresistable visit to taverna in Embounas where we ate the most divine chickpea fritters, fried aubergines and tadziki....which turned out to be our last food on Greek soil.

At the airport drank the best coffee we'd had (apart from the Olive Tree) and attempted to log on to Facebook to let everyone know where we were but signal terrible. Uneventful flight but Gatwick crawling with security which we now realise possibly to do with assassination of Osama bin Laden.

Night in Premier Inn at the airport.....highly recommend as extremely comfortable beds for £39 + breakfast (£15) for both of us.
