I got up this morning and I've only just stopped....nearly.....

.....am in the process making marmalade so on a break to do this blog - and watch Holby - and have a cup of coffee.

Marcus got up at 6 a.m. to sort out Bella who's got gut problems at the moment but I won't go into details in case you're sensitive.  I got up at 8 a.m., had breakfast, drove to the tip to empty car of enormous amount of rubbish we removed from our allotment, followed by another trip to the tip to empty garden bag full of soggy weeds. Now there was room for Bella in the car we took ourselves off to the park for quick walk followed by visit to to garden centre to get some herbs for our plot....then dropped into Homebase to buy a saw to cut up planks we scavenged last night to make some raised beds. Spent the afternoon gardening while Bella turned stray sticks into wood chip....very handy for our paths.

After an afternoon of digging and planting we both needed a walk so whizzed up to Primrose woods.

This allotment site is tucked behind the Royal Crescent.

And this clemetis which is growing in a friend's garden, has flowers the size of saucers and smells divine!

Gardening is for the crazy diggers but gardens are for everyone.................
