Busy day listening

Today I have been at UWE with a Guest Lecturer, Chris Watson.  He does lots of sound recording with the BBC Natural History Unit, so his work is all over Attenborough programmes, Springwatch, etc. as well as on lots of Radio 4 programmes.  He has been coming to us every year for quite a while now, doing a master-class in the morning and a lecture in the afternoon.  All this done in a day by flying down from Newcastle and back.  So a lot of today has been spent in the dark listening - an interesting lecture technique!

Once I had seen him off back to the airport, I realised that the sun was shining.  In sympathy, the plant outside our office has burst into flower!

The view outside the window looked better than usual, and the sunset on the way home was stunning.

Another busy day tomorrow - off to London bright and early for a conference.
