Pet-sitting duties

Meet Cirrus (pronounced sirrus as in cloud) and named because of his grey colour. He is 14 years old and today I was asked to care for him and the two dogs who live with him while the owner went to look at horses - how the other half live!!
This is Chips. He too is 14 and a bit grumpy as his owner has swanned off to New Zealand for a couple of months and left him in luxury in Bath....he's a bit of a sweety and still fun to take out.  You met the other dog in a previous blog (the dachshund) so won't show her pic again.  Bella stayed at home with Marcus and I took the two titchy hounds out for a squirrel chasing (but never catching) exercise in the park.  Back to house, dogs asleep and I put my feet up for rest of the afternoon to read my book...bliss.
News on our escape plans - we've come to the conclusion that no matter what if we want to get away for chunks of time something has to be done about the cats. So "operation home-find" has sprung into action.  I'm busily sending flattering pics to all and everyone vaguely interested in felines in the hope they'll want to take them on.  Failing that we'll place them with the local cats waifs and strays home who have a non-destruct policy and are very picky about where they place their animals.  As our two are still young and cute looking we're sure someone will want to give them a home quite quickly.
How we feel about this is another matter....some things are easier said than done and we're not going to find this easy but eggs and omelettes as they say.....
